Transportation organizations have been placed under a severe strain over the last few years, working to keep up with changes in federal regulations. Working on making transportation accessible to all has been a costly and time consuming endeavor; however, the needs of employees are also of high priority. Awareness of the unique demands of transportation companies and their personnel has been a recurrent theme in our work.

Creating customized programs to address the sedentary nature of coach operators, as well as the unique job tasks involved in working on buses, has posed a challenge for many transportation companies. Pelletier & Associates has worked with large transportation companies in designing training programs for the employees who work in these positions. Our experience in conducting ergonomic evaluations for this population has allowed us to understand the needs of the personnel in charge of keeping transportation accessible to all.
